Tendon > Geometry > Tendon Point New/Modify/Copy

Definition or modification of constraint point for the definition of the tendon geometry.

SettingDescription
Type Type of the tendon point:
  • Normal: normal tendon point of an internal pre-stressing
  • Line: tendon point type "Line" of an external tendon
  • Line (free Y): point type "Line" with free Y coordinate (external tendon)
  • Line (free Z): point type "Line" with free Z coordinate (external tendon)
  • Intersection point: tangent intersection point (external tendon)
  • Free node at element: additional point for better circle approximation (external)
  • Intersection point (free): free tangent intersection point (external tendon)
Space point or Structure element The position of the tendon point is either defined in terms of global coordinates  or relative to a structural element.
Note: The below described input data refer to element related geometry definition.
SettingDescription
Ref.Elem, (To, Step) Element number(s) in the structural model to which the tendon geometry definition refers (geometry is defined relative to this element)
Add. point for last element For From/to/step-definition: an additional point is arranged at the end of the last element
RefSet If required: Selection of the reference set of the cross section point CS pnt
CS pnt Eccentricity of tendon can refer to certain additional point in the cross-section In this case the name of the point has to be chosen.
X/L Point on the reference element (element length related distance from the element begin)
Ey The vertical offset from the point on the reference element (X/L) to the tendon geometry constraint point (eccentricity: local or global)
Ez The horizontal offset from the point on the Reference Element (X/L) to the tendon geometry constraint point (eccentricity: local or global)
Relative to Elem If the button is selected, the eccentricity is related to the element axis
Relative to Node If the button is selected, the eccentricity is related to the node axis
Relative to CS point The eccentricity is related to the defined additional cross-section point
Alpha 1 Defined angle in the X/Y plane for the definition of the tangent direction relative to the direction of the respective axis (element, node, CS point)
Alpha 2 Defined angle in the X/Z plane for the definition of the tangent direction relative to the direction of the respective axis (element, node, CS point)
FREE / VALUE
  • Free: defined angle is not considered
  • Value: defined angle is considered as constraint condition
Relative to Elem If the button is selected, the angle definition is related to the element axis
Relative to Node If the button is selected, the angle definition is related to the node axis
Relative to CS point The angle definition is related to the defined cross-section point axis
Extern External Element check button - only for tendon points of the "Line" types for defining a straight external tendon section
Number If Extern is selected: Structural element number of the straight tendon section
Radius Only for tendon point type Intersection point: Rounding radius of tendon geometry
